Buying
- 1Buy now, or make an offer from 70% of the asking price.
- 2You pay Set Trader, and we hold the money. The seller isn't paid yet.
- 3The seller posts with tracking within 4 days, or you're refunded automatically.
- 4When it arrives you have 3 days to check it. Confirm, and the seller is paid.
- 5Something wrong? Raise an issue and the money stays held until it's sorted.
Collecting in person
Some sellers let you collect. You still pay through Set Trader, so you're still protected. After paying you get a handover code: arrange a time and a busy public place using messages on your order, check the set when you meet, then show the seller your code. Not collected within 7 days? You're refunded automatically. Collection is for buyers aged 18 and over.
Agreed a sale somewhere else, like a Facebook group or a toy fair? The seller can send you a private pay link so you can pay safely via Set Trader instead of by bank transfer.

The Complete Set Guarantee
The 4% guarantee you pay as a buyer (never more than £15, and already included in every price) covers held payments, our dispute team, missing-piece replacement up to £15 on complete grades, and seal checks on sealed sets. And every set is graded or your money back.
